VIEWER SPECIAL: Mark's Overhead Dust Collector

Updated: Jan 7

Mark sent in some photos of his overhead table saw dust collector he built from my plans.

"Hi Justin, I just thought I would follow up with you regarding the Over arm dust collection. I used your plans with a couple of small modifications. I have a Craftsmen shop vac which has a larger crevice tool so I extended the blade hood and instead of using wood for the over arm, I welded 1" steel tubing together. I took your idea of the arm swinging out of the way but I couldn't just weld a piano hinge to it so I had some old 1" copper piping left over from replacing the water heater and I used that as a pivot point (it fits perfectly inside the 1" steel tube) for the arm to swing on. I loved the plans and the printouts were very helpful!"
